Questions
Is my Markdown file uploaded anywhere?
No. Your browser opens the file directly on your device. The site only loads its own scripts, styles and fonts; the contents, name and bytes of your file are never sent to a server.
Is HTML inside the Markdown rendered?
No. HTML tags and scripts in the file are shown as text and never run, so a file from someone you don’t know cannot do anything in your browser.
Why are some pictures not shown?
Pictures from the internet are blocked so that opening a file never sends a request to someone else’s server. Pictures embedded in the file itself are shown.
How large can the file be?
Up to 10 MB. The rendered preview is available for files up to 2 MB; larger files open as source text.
