Short answers to common file questions
Questions
Is my presentation uploaded anywhere?
No. Your browser opens the presentation directly on your device. The site only loads its own scripts, styles and fonts; the contents, name and bytes of your file are never sent to a server.
Why are pictures and layout missing?
Old .ppt files are opened as a text-only preview: each slide shows its title and text, with the speaker notes, but without pictures, formatting or layout. For the full slides, save the file as .pptx in PowerPoint or LibreOffice and open it again.
Can I open password-protected presentations?
No. OsonKit recognises an encrypted .ppt and tells you so; remove the password in PowerPoint, then open the file again.
How large can the presentation be?
Up to 50 MB and 1,000 slides.
