Questions

Is my spreadsheet uploaded anywhere?

No. Your browser opens the workbook directly on your device. The site only loads its own scripts, styles and fonts; the contents, name and bytes of your file are never sent to a server.

Are formulas calculated?

DocViewer shows the values that Excel saved with the file, formatted as in the workbook. It does not recalculate formulas or let you edit cells.

Are charts and pictures shown?

No. DocViewer shows the cell data of every sheet; charts, pictures and other objects placed on a sheet are not displayed.

Can I open old .xls files?

Not yet. Only .xlsx is supported. Save the file as .xlsx or export a sheet as CSV, then open it here.

How large can the workbook be?

Up to 20 MB, 100 sheets and 1,000,000 rows per sheet. When a sheet is longer, the first rows are shown and the status bar says so.
