Questions

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?

No. Your browser opens the PDF directly on your device. The site only loads its own scripts, styles and fonts; the contents, name and bytes of your file are never sent to a server.

Can I search inside a scanned PDF?

Only if the PDF has a text layer. Scanned pages are pictures of text; DocViewer tells you when a file has no text layer. Text recognition (OCR) is not available.

Can I open a password-protected PDF?

Not yet. DocViewer recognises encrypted PDFs and tells you so; remove the password in the app that created the file, then open it again.

How large can the PDF be?

Up to 50 MB and 2,000 pages. Pages are drawn only when you scroll to them, so long documents stay responsive.

Can I edit, sign or fill in forms?

No. DocViewer is a viewer: it shows the pages but does not change the file or fill in form fields.
